I love when I meet writers I respect and they’re wonderful in person! Tonight at @company, I had the chance to chat briefly with @andrewmarantz about his new book #Antisocial: Online Extremists, Techno-Utopians, and the Hijacking of the American Conversation. Andrew shadowed some of the alt-right figures I’ve been targeted by in the past as an activist, and I told him about my run-ins with folks like Cernovich and Milo. When I met my current partner on Tinder, I had an insulting Infowars headline once written about me in my bio. Moral of the story: love conquers all, and make decency great again. Can’t wait to read the book. #bookish #onlineharassment #technology #socialmedia #altright

I am extremely upset that it is winter and no longer seasonally appropriate for me to fly my gay kite.
I read my first @tessa_dare romances and goddamn, now I know what all the fuss was about. #TheDuchessDeal features moody war veteran Ash, who is desperately in search of a wife so that he won’t pass his dukedom down to an irresponsible cousin. When his fiancé is disgusted by his burn scars, he makes a deal with Emma, the seamstress who made the wedding dress, for a marriage of convenience. Ash and Emma have some of the best snappy dialogue I’ve read in the romance genre. #bookish #romancereader #romancebooks
Always thrilled to see books by my heroes in stores! I spent a blissful hour at @northshirebooks in Manchester, Vermont today. Special shoutout to their used romance shelves — great titles for $2 to $3. #readromance #shoplocal #bookish
Now serving my first draft of my novel: word salad! I’m about 15k away from the end and my sentences are a hot mess. #amwriting #bookish
